Moraine Park Technical College is seeking an Adjunct Faculty – Mechanical Design Technology Instructor on the Fond du Lac Campus. This position is responsible for the multiple‑modality delivery of instruction and facilitation of student learning, as well as the ongoing development of curriculum, assessment, and learning strategies to meet college academic and workforce needs. The instructor will provide regular student support and contact, or refer students to the appropriate department, to meet learners’ classroom and career goals.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years (4,000 hours) of paid work experience related to the program(s) being taught, including one year (2,000 hours) of recent experience. Alternatively, two years of post‑secondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field within the past five years may be considered.
Responsibilities- Prepare for and facilitate learning in the assigned courses according to the College’s core values.
- Establish a professional and safe learning environment; model appropriate workplace skills and behavior; maintain a positive climate for learning by managing the Student Code of Conduct.
- Meet student learning needs by incorporating a variety of teaching methods and assessments.
- Maintain confidentiality of student records and documentation as required by FERPA; submit grades within the expected timeframe.
- Provide timely verbal and written feedback to students to support their growth and development.
- Participate in the development, implementation, evaluation, and updating of curriculum.
- Assist with student recruitment and promote the College’s programs and services.
- Promote retention and student success through referrals to College services and resources.
- Maintain relationships with K‑12, Department of Corrections, community, and industry partners beyond the classroom.
- Keep up‑to‑date with emerging trends and current occupational practices; complete annual professional development activities in Faculty Quality Assurance Standards competencies; complete all required training.
- Maintain classroom and lab equipment and supplies as necessary.

- Material Handling Design
- Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) Experience
- Jigs and Fixtures
- Upon hire, maintain or obtain Higher Learning Commission, Faculty Quality Assurance System, and other agency requirements and licensure needed for accreditation.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting an inclusive and respectful work environment.
Position Requirements
- Flexible scheduling may be required, including evenings and weekends.
- Position requires some teaching and/or travel to the MPTC West Bend campus.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Adjunct pay rates may vary between $39.85 - $43.99 per hour based on course configuration (pending board approval).
StartingAugust 10, 2026 (Fall 2026).
Hours/Schedule/TravelUp to 10 hours per week, with some travel between the Fond du Lac and West Bend MPTC campuses.
