Moraine Park Technical College is seeking a part-time Adjunct Faculty
- Adult Education Instructor at the Fond du Lac campus. We are looking for an instructor to teach GED related courses with availability on Monday afternoon/evenings (2:00pm - 7:00pm) and Tuesday morning/afternoons (9:00am - 2:00pm). This position is responsible for the multiple modality delivery of instruction and facilitation of student learning and providing ongoing development of curriculum, assessment, and learning strategies to meet college academic and workforce needs.
In addition, this position will provide regular student support and contact, or refer to the appropriate department, to meet the learner's classroom and career goals.
The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree or higher in Elementary Education, Secondary Education, Adult Education, or Special Needs Education. Prior teaching experience or experience working with secondary, post-secondary, and adult learners preferred.
Responsibilities include preparing for and facilitating learning in the assigned courses according to the College's core values, establishing a professional and safe learning environment, meeting student learning needs by incorporating a variety of teaching methods and assessments, maintaining student confidentiality, records, and documentation as required by Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), providing timely verbal and written feedback to the students to ensure continued growth and development, participating in the development, implementation, evaluation, and updating of curriculum, assisting with student recruitment and positively promoting the College programs and services offered, promoting retention and student success through the utilization of referrals to College services and resources, maintaining ongoing relationships with K-12, Department of Corrections (DOC), community, and industry partners beyond the classroom, actively maintaining proficient knowledge and skills in emerging trends and current occupational practices, and completing annual professional development activities in areas of Faculty Quality Assurance Standards (FQAS) competencies.
Experience & qualifications include demonstrated ability to teach in multiple content areas, demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity, and relevant certifications, licenses, and credentials may vary based on assigned course(s).
Desired qualifications include two years of teaching experience, experience with digital literacy or educational technology, experience working with secondary, post-secondary, and adult learners, and ability to adapt teaching to multiple modalities including in-person, online, video conferencing (VC), and Teams.
Hiring range:
Adjunct pay rates start at $39.85/hour. Starting:

Schedule:
Up to 12 hours per week (pending course assignment).
