Natural Science Instructor

Moraine Park Technical College is seeking part-time Natural Science instructors in the areas of Anatomy and Physiology, Chemistry, and Microbiology at the Beaver Dam, Fond du Lac, and West Bend campuses. This position is responsible for the multiple modality delivery of instruction and facilitation of student learning and providing ongoing development of curriculum, assessment, and learning strategies to meet college academic and workforce needs.

In addition, this position will provide regular student support and contact, or refer to the appropriate department, to meet the learner's classroom and career goals.

The successful candidate will possess a Master's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy, Physiology, or a related field; alternatively, a Master's degree in any discipline with at least 18 graduate credit hours in Biology, Chemistry, Anatomy, or Physiology. Two years (4,000 hours) of paid work experiences related to the program(s) being taught, including one year (2,000 hours) of paid work experience that has been acquired within the past five years.

In lieu of this one year of recent experiences, two years of post-secondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field within the past five years may be considered.

Responsibilities include preparing for and facilitating learning in the assigned courses according to the College's core values, establishing a professional and safe learning environment, maintaining student confidentiality, records, and documentation, providing timely verbal and written feedback to the students, participating in the development, implementation, evaluation, and updating of curriculum, assisting with student recruitment, promoting retention and student success, maintaining ongoing relationships with K-12, Department of Corrections (DOC), community, and industry partners, actively maintaining proficient knowledge and skills in emerging trends and current occupational practices, and completing all required training.

Experience and qualifications include maintaining and/or obtaining Higher Learning Commission, Faculty Quality Assurance System, and other agency requirements and licensure required to maintain individual and program accreditation, if applicable, and demonstrating the ability to work effectively with diverse populations by promoting and maintaining an inclusive work environment and culture that is respectful and accepting of diversity.

Desired qualifications include flexible scheduling that may require evenings and weekends, teaching and/or travel to other MPTC campus locations, client/contract work sites, and/or Department of Corrections (DOC) institutions, and possessing a valid driver's license.

Hiring range:
Adjunct pay rates may vary between $39.85 - $44.25/hour based on course configuration. Starting:
August 10, 2026.

Up to 5-10 hours per week.
