Position Overview

As part of the talented Maintenance team, the engineer focuses on implementing Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) practices to improve equipment reliability and lead the implementation of necessary changes. Using failure analysis, data collection, industry best practices, and technology, the engineer recommends solutions that enhance equipment uptime and overall production availability.

Essential Functions
  • Provide ideas and direction to the maintenance team in all support areas including safety, planning/scheduling, TPM, preventive maintenance, PdM, equipment reliability, cost, efficiency, quality, training, and labor utilization.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee predictive and preventive maintenance programs and continually update procedures and training schedules.
  • Utilize current technology to monitor and control equipment and processes, and implement Connected Operations.
  • Conduct root‑cause failure analysis and determine solutions to prevent repeat failures.
  • Analyze equipment reliability and determine appropriate improvement measures.
  • Identify necessary resources or expertise with suppliers and engineering partners to solve chronic problems.
  • Review departmental systems, including information systems, plant IIoT, and connectivity.
  • Assist in production equipment repair, rebuild, or replacement decisions and ensure appropriate stock levels of replacement parts.
  • Monitor the quality of parts and suggest corrective actions for poor quality parts.
  • Support TPM efforts and identify and implement the correct elements for successful buy‑in.
  • Supervise project planning and scheduling, technical employee training, workforce level modifications, and employee capability analysis.
  • Lead cross‑functional teams in coordinated events such as rapid improvement teams.
  • Assist in creation and attainment of maintenance goals and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial) preferred; equivalent experience, such as completed apprenticeship or journeyman status, also considered.
  • Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience with emphasis on predictive and proactive practices.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including CAD, and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Knowledge of Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM), root‑cause failure analysis, and TPM maintenance reliability training or certification.
  • Ability to work effectively with all individuals and groups within the organization.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Electrical, digital infrastructure, and PLC experience.
  • Experience in a union manufacturing facility.
  • Oracle or similar CMMS experience.
  • Project management training or certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma training or experience.
  • PowerBI, Ignition, and AL experience.
Working Conditions

Ability to work in an office and indoor industrial environment.

Compensation & Benefits

The anticipated pay range for this position is $73,600 – $106,200 per year. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job‑related knowledge, skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
