As a Medical Equipment Delivery Technician, you'll transport, assemble, and maintain medical equipment while providing education and support to patients and caregivers. This role is essential to helping patients receive high-quality care at home and improving comfort, safety, and quality of life.

Schedule:

40 hours per week | day shift | on call rotation (approximately 1 time per week)

Delivers durable medical equipment and supplies to patients’ homes and educates on the proper use of the equipment.

• Loads vehicle and transports durable medical equipment and supplies to and from patient homes and assembles as needed.
• Provides instruction/education on safe equipment use to patients/caregivers.
• Provides and reviews written documentation to patients/caregivers and obtains signatures on delivery documents.
• Collects payments from patients for coinsurance, copays, and self-pay items.
• Assists with cleaning and disinfecting of equipment.
• Ensures compliance with accreditation expectations.
• May assist with warehouse duties.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience

• One year experience

• Proof of motor vehicle liability insurance that meets minimum state requirements upon hire and upon request.

• Constant standing and walking.
• Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
• Frequent use of hearing to distinguish body sounds and/or hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
• Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
• Frequent reaching, gripping, and keyboard use/data entry.
• Frequent use of vision for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
• Occasional bending, stooping, crawling, kneeling, sitting, squatting and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
• Occasional use of vision to judge distances and spatial relationships.
• Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
• Occasional lifting/moving patients.
• Occasional use of smell to detect/recognize odors.
• Occasional driving.
