Society Insurance is seeking an Underwriting Services Representative to join our team in Fond Du Lac, Wisconsin. This position supports the Commercial Underwriting Department by monitoring and assigning incoming work, generating loss runs and motor vehicle reports, managing account updates and small non-premium endorsements in Guidewire, and ensuring all tasks follow departmental and company standards.
AboutThe Role
- Monitors a vast variety of incoming requests from at least nine individual state email boxes and assigns work to appropriate team members.
- Uploads electronic policy level and account level documents to the underwriting file as applicable.
- Orders motor vehicle reports (MVRs) and police reports for Underwriters and enters driving information into Policy Administration System (PAS).
- Sets up decline accounts in the Policy Administration System (PAS).
- Rates commercial insurance policy endorsements by referencing correspondence, enters data in our Policy Administration System (PAS), utilizes Intranet Rater Manual and Technical Trainer instructions.
- Prepares and sends loss runs as requested.
- Researches returned mail and updates policy addresses as applicable in the Policy Administration System.
- Makes thoughtful, data-based decisions without bias.

- Delivers precise, complete work and looks for ways to improve it.
- Stays organized and meets deadlines while managing multiple tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent; proficiency with basic computer software, data entry, and spreadsheets.
- Above average math skills (ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide at an advanced level by using a calculator).
- At least one year of experience in the insurance industry and related business processes preferred.
