Equipment Technician
As an Equipment Technician, you will be based in our Lac location, where you will play a crucial role in assembling a variety of equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to assemble components and parts into completed products by following work orders, blueprints, schematics, and both written and verbal specifications.
Responsibilities- Set up the job by locating parts and gathering materials according to the work order.
- Layout and position wire harnesses, subassemblies, and hoses according to prints.
- Align, position, and assemble components using hand tools, including impacts and torque tools.
- Install moving parts such as engines, clutches, pumps, hoses, and bearings.
- Install plows, wings, and underbody scrapers, and may install dump bodies and salting equipment.
- Drill, tap, or ream holes as necessary.
- Fabricate and weld parts as needed.
- Experience in electrical assembly and mechanical assembly.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, heavy equipment, and diesel mechanics.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and assembly instructions.
- Proficient in performing basic measurements using tape measure, protractor, and other measuring devices.
Skills & Qualifications
- Basic understanding of metal product assembly techniques.
- Experience with diesel engines and heavy equipment operation.
- Proficiency in basic math.

Work EnvironmentWork hours are Monday to Friday, from 6 am to 2:30 pm. The work is performed in a non-climate controlled metal manufacturing production environment, involving frequent standing, twisting, bending, stooping, and climbing in and around metal fabricated parts. The role requires frequent lifting, pushing, or pulling of 50 pounds alone, and more than 60 pounds with assistance. You will need sufficient manual dexterity and visual acuity to identify required parts and operate production assembly equipment such as hand tools, power tools, and forklifts.

This is a Permanent position based out of Fond Du Lac, WI.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $29.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
