Position Overview

As part of the talented Trim Operations team, you will utilize equipment and machinery in the hand trim area using a variety of techniques. Under the direction of the Trim Supervisor your tasks may include, but are not limited to: reviewing documentation; removing flash from parts by operating pneumatic and hand tools including air chisel, air sander, air file, hand files, air drill, mallet, and belt sander;

attending department meetings; completing required documentation; and maintaining a safe, clean work area.

Essential Functions
  • Perform complete finishing operations on many different parts using a variety of hand and power tools as necessary.
  • Carefully position parts against sanding wheel to improve casting surface as required.
  • Perform trim press operations.
  • Perform inspection common to the classification at required intervals.
  • Arrange for periodic quality checks by support personnel such as in-process layout.
  • Perform minor preventive maintenance inherent to the classification and equipment.
  • Clean and organize work area and equipment at close of shift and at other times as required.
  • Observe all safety rules and follow at all times what is known to be safe practice.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Pass pre-employment drug screening and physical
Preferred Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent

Working Conditions

This position works in a Foundry environment.

The pay range for this position is $26.05 to $29.48 hourly.

The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
