Overview
Join Brunswick’s Occupational Health and Safety team as a nurse in our Mercy Marine Fond du Lac Campus. In this role you will assess and treat work‑related injuries and illnesses, maintain accurate medical records, and support a safe and healthy work environment for manufacturing and distribution operations.
Responsibilities- Provide emergency care, assessment, and treatment of all work‑related injuries in accordance with Mercury Marine Medical Directives.
- Provide emergency care for both work‑related and non‑work‑related illnesses within the medical directives.
- Maintain accurate records in the electronic medical records system while following case management guidelines.
- Generate initial reports and communicate findings to leadership to facilitate incident investigation.
- Implement the Substance Abuse Policy by facilitating drug and alcohol testing per Mercury directives, standards, and protocols.
- Conduct screenings for employees who operate powered industrial vehicles.
- Provide personal protective equipment guidance and training to employees requiring respirator protection.
- Assist in providing AED, CPR, and BBP training to employees on the emergency response teams.
- Make routine follow‑up visits with employees within the plant.
- Inspect and maintain emergency response equipment throughout the campus.
- Collaborate with medical providers to facilitate a safe and efficient return to work.
- Maintain and retain employee medical records in accordance with Mercury Marine directives, standards, and protocols.
- Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with applicable law.
- Required: State of Wisconsin licensed nurse (L.P.N. and/or R.N.).
- Certification in CPR/AED for health professionals.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively at all organizational levels as a team player.
- Self‑starter with strong attention to detail and flexibility.
- Computer skills to conduct record management and filing.
- Ability to work overtime hours as needed to ensure coverage for adjoining shifts.
- Preferred: Experience in occupational medicine or a related setting.
- 5+ years of experience in a medical setting, preferably emergency medicine and/or a medical clinic.
Schedule:
4 to 10‑hour days, 4 days a week, 12PM to 11PM, with no weekends. The role is based in a health office/clinic within a large manufacturing facility and requires standard personal protective equipment, including safety shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection.
Annual salary range: $62,800 to $90,500 (actual base pay will vary based on qualifications and business needs). Eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
