Advanced Practice Provider - APP - Cardiothoracic Surgery

We are actively recruiting for a Cardiothoracic Surgery Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. The successful candidate will become an integral part of our established department of experienced providers, with opportunities for growth, skill development, and collaborative patient‑focused care.

• Examine patients, formulate diagnoses, and develop treatment plans.
• Perform technical, clinical, and surgical procedures.
• Document patient progress and surgical care.
• Perform endoscopic saphenous vein and radial artery harvests.
• Place and remove chest tubes, catheters, central lines, and arterial lines.
• Intubate and extubate patients.
• Write prescriptions and medical orders (APP).

• Certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
• CRNFA certification required; non‑CRNFA NP will receive training with expectation of certification within 5 years.
• Experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery desired; strong surgical experience in Vascular, Neurosurgery, Trauma, or General Surgery also encouraged.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning and clinical skill improvement.

• Monday‑Friday schedule from 8 am to 5 pm with patient rounding every other weekend.
• Low‑burden call with little to no night cases; predictable weekend volume shared equally with the current Nurse Practitioner.
• Robotic lung experience is a plus, but not required.
• Strong onboarding program.
