Shift: 9:45 AM – 10:15 PM
Weekend Rotation: Every 3rd Weekend
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a correctional healthcare team in Wisconsin. This position offers the opportunity to provide essential nursing care to an underserved patient population while working in a structured, team-oriented environment.
The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced correctional setting. Key Responsibilities- Deliver direct nursing care to incarcerated patients in accordance with established nursing standards and facility policies.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by licensed providers.
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
- Perform intake screenings, health assessments, and ongoing patient evaluations.
- Assist with chronic disease management and routine healthcare services.
- Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and urgent patient needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
- Collaborate with physicians, registered nurses, mental health professionals, and security staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and security protocols at all times.
- Provide patient education and support to promote health and wellness.
- Current, active, and unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
- Minimum 1 year of correctional nursing experience
