Job Overview

Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) at Bio Life Plasma Services, a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. Reports to the Plasma Center Manager and supports plasma center operations in the United States – Fond du Lac, WI.

• Determine donor eligibility, including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, and approval based on laboratory results.
• Manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results.
• Evaluate donor reactions at the facility and follow SOPs for medical emergencies, developing physician standing orders and coordinating transfer to emergency care.
• Refer medical findings to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for guidance on donor safety, eligibility, and medical issues.
• Support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.
• Manage employee incidents and coordinate further evaluation with occupational health or EHS as needed.
• Act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and assist investigations related to pandemic threats in the local community.
• Provide center‑level support for environmental, health and safety (EHS) and regulatory compliance.

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus graduate education from a recognized nursing program with state licensing requirements.
• Current state license or certification as LPN or LVN where the role will be assigned.
• Current CPR and AED certification.
• State‑approved basic IV therapy training.
• Completion of FDA‑approved training for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• At least two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

Hourly wage range: $24.32 – $33.44, based on qualifications and experience.
