Registered Nurse - Medical​/Surgical

Role

Provides direct nursing care in a medical-surgical setting, focusing on neurological, surgical, and medical patients.

• Uses standards of nursing practice to enhance patient care and quality of life.
• Builds effective relationships and advocates for patients and families to develop personalized care plans.
• Implements the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
• Considers physical, cultural, social, economic, and spiritual factors in care strategies.
• Collaborates with interprofessional teams and communicates effectively to ensure holistic, ethical, and culturally sensitive care.
• Educates patients and families on health maintenance and comfort measures.
• Mentors colleagues and applies evidence-based practices tailored to patient needs.
• Performs point-of-care testing and other duties as assigned.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program, with at least one year of RN experience.

Strong communication, leadership, and assessment skills; physical ability to perform clinical duties; valid state nursing license; BLS certification.

Standing, walking, lifting up to 50 lbs, and repetitive movements required.
