As a valued member of the Supplier Quality Team, the Supplier Quality Technician plays a key role in supporting manufacturing operations through effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and independent execution of quality-related activities. This position is responsible for maintaining, analyzing, and reporting supplier quality data; coordinating and performing material containment, inspections, and sorting activities; and managing the disposition of non-conforming materials.
The Supplier Quality Technician helps ensure product quality, minimize production disruptions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives while supporting supplier quality objectives.
You will work cross-functionally with managers, engineers, supervisors, technicians, and production employees as you own and manage issues with purchased components within the assigned production areas and processes. As a result, the Global Supplier Quality team depends on the Supplier Quality Technician to efficiently and effectively carry out such tactical and factory-related activities to support continual improvement and the ongoing quality of factory production as related to procured components and assemblies.

Essential Functions:
Tactical Supplier Quality: independently, and in collaboration with suppliers within the global supply base, process and execute quality activities. Maintain strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with internal / external customers to understand any quality impact to production and to disseminate information as directed by the Supplier Quality Manager or Supplier Quality Engineers.
Factory Support: under direction of others, execute necessary activities to evaluate supplied components meet or exceed compliance with engineering specifications prior to release for production. During episodes of supplier quality spills, support non-conformance management activities to eliminate risk of use on out of specification components.
Continuous Process Improvement: independently and/or in collaboration with internal working partners, define, measure, analyze, improve and control processes, programs and supplier performance to effectively, efficiently and proactively achieve strategic business initiatives and/or key performance indicators.

Required Qualifications:
Associate’s Degree or Technical Diploma in Quality, Industrial Engineering or a closely related business field or equivalent combination of experience and education3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing, operations, quality engineering environment, required
Working knowledge of blueprint analysis including some experience with basic GD&TQuality concepts: basic quality tools and problem-solving techniques
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years experience in engine or engine component manufacturing or assembly, preferredASQ certification as CQT or higher, preferred
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt training with project experience, preferred
