Position OverviewAs an Electrical/Instrumentation Technician on Mercury Marine's Engine Test Services team, you will be responsible for instrumentation application, repairs, and calibrations, as well as a variety of AC & low voltage DC electrical repairs and troubleshooting. This role is ideal for someone who takes initiative and has a strong understanding of instrumentation and application, along with AC & DC electrical aptitude.
EssentialFunctions
- Provide instrumentation selection based on various applications.
- Instrumentation troubleshooting and repairs.
- Perform calibrations and maintain the instrumentation calibration records for ISO and other regulatory requirements.
- Utilize various software systems to perform instrumentation calibrations.
- Manage instrumentation asset management system.
- Complete minor electrical installs and repairs as well as control panel wiring and layout.
- Create and manage work orders using a CMMS.
- Assist in developing and documenting preventive maintenance and calibration procedures.
- Ensure all work complies with Mercury Marine’s Safety & Regulatory standards.
- Maintain a customer‑centric approach in all interactions and service delivery.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5 years of experience with instrumentation application and calibration.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of AC/DC circuits and wiring.
- Ability to read technical literature, follow oral instructions, and communicate effectively with cross‑functional teams and customers.
- Familiarity with entering accurate repair records into CMMS.
- Associate’s degree in a technical/electrical field.
- State electrical license.
The anticipated pay range for this position is $54,300 – $85,700 annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job‑related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus program.
