Local CDL Driver - Day Shift
We're looking for a dependable CDL Driver & Feed Mill Technician to support daily feed delivery operations and on-site mill activities. This role blends local driving with hands-on feed production and facility support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and serving local producers. Your work directly supports customer success through safe, timely deliveries and high-quality feed manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities- Safely transport feed and agricultural products to customers within the local service area
- Operate commercial vehicles in compliance with DOT regulations and CDL requirements
- Complete daily pre- and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs promptly
- Accurately handle delivery documentation and required records
- Assist with feed mixing, batching, and manufacturing processes
- Operate feed mill equipment safely while maintaining quality and accuracy standards
- Load, unload, and clean trucks efficiently and safely
- Support routing and distribution of feed to designated storage bins
- Assist with routine equipment maintenance and minor repairs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Represent the cooperative professionally through positive customer interactions
- Perform general facility duties and other tasks as assigned
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Valid Class A CDL (additional endorsements preferred)
- Strong driving safety record
- Consistent attendance and dependable work ethic
- Team-oriented mindset with a customer-first attitude
Physical Requirements
- Outdoor and indoor work in all weather conditions
- Operation of manual transmission quad-axle trucks or semi-trucks
- Frequent climbing in and out of trucks throughout the day
- Ability to climb ladders to inspect truck loads
- Occasional lifting of up to 60 pounds
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as sweeping, loading, and equipment operation
- Stable, full-time schedule with daytime hours
- Local routes—home daily
- Hands-on role with variety and responsibility
