Receiving Specialist

Mission

As our Receiving Specialist, you are the Architect of Inventory Integrity, the first line of defense ensuring every piece of material is verified, pristine, and accounted for before it hits the floor. You support the fulfillment engine with unmatched speed and accountability.

• Unload all incoming vendor, parcel, and common carrier trucks.
• Audit BOL and verify physical product against documentation.
• Receive material accurately into Drexel’s ERP system.
• Inspect all incoming shipments for damage.
• Quarantine and document non‑conforming or damaged product.
• Place received materials into designated bulk receiving or overstock locations, keeping primary picking locations clear.
• Load return‑to‑vendor material that has been packaged and equipped with necessary paperwork.
• Unload materials from inbound transfer trucks and reload prepicked outbound transfers.

• Receiving Accuracy Rate: percentage of line items received correctly.
• Dock‑to‑Stock Time: how quickly material is safely received and put away into bulk storage.
• Error Tracing: number of inventory discrepancies traced back to receiving errors.
