Production Machine Line Set-Up
The Production Machine Line Set-Up role is responsible for safe operating, setting up, adjusting and maintaining production line equipment in compliance with safety and workplace standards. The position ensures production machines are set up properly, supports production efficiency, and adheres to all workplace procedures. This is a contingent position and the core hours for this position are 2:30PM - 11:00PM, M-F with some flexibility to troubleshoot issues on the weekends.
The following duties are representative but not exhaustive. Additional duties may be assigned as needed:
- Power up and shut down Texwraps, heat tunnels, printers, glue machines, carton machines, paper machines, and label machines.
- Set up and adjust printers, labelers, and tape machines.
- Clean and change ink on Evolution, Squid Ink, and Black Video Jet printers.
- Start and stop machines following established safety protocol.
- Clean, lubricate and inspect machines.
- Change sharp objects when completing preventative maintenance duties.
- Make minor adjustments to temperatures, speeds, and delays.
- Change date codes, tape, and Texwrap plastic, including sample creation.
- Conduct pre operation safety inspections of machinery.
- Know and identify all emergency stops and perform general safety inspections.
- Report unsafe equipment immediately.
- Maintain compliance with all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Support and maintain a safe work environment per safety and company requirements.
- Follow all policies and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to support production efficiency.
- Complete all job-related computer functions.
- Perform all functions accurately as required in our WMS system.
- Multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Work overtime and weekends as required by management.
- Maintain product quality standards and follow required documentation procedures.
The anticipated hourly range for the position is $16.90 - $19.75, depending on experience and qualifications.
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or GED preferred. Three to six months of related warehouse or production experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to understand and apply quality standards, documentation, and reporting. Ability to interpret written and verbal instructions. Ability to work effectively with plant leadership. Ability to process information through computer systems.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
Ability to stand for 8+ hours. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally. Ability to reach, squat, stoop, and bend. Manual hand and finger dexterity required.
