Key Responsibilities:

• Complete comprehensive patient assessments upon admission and regularly throughout your shift, considering the physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs of each individual.
• Develop and continuously update individualized care plans; reassess and document patient progress and responses to interventions.
• Safely administer medications, closely monitor effects, and maintain strict adherence to protocols for high-risk drugs.
• Conduct and document treatments and nursing procedures following infection control, hospital policy, and patient privacy standards.
• Educate patients and families using evidence-based resources and tailor teaching to assessed needs.
• Collaborate in multidisciplinary planning; communicate clinical changes swiftly and effectively using SBAR methods.
• Maintain compliance with safety goals, orientation to emergency protocols, and documentation standards for all patient interactions.
• Manage care for patients of all ages, prioritizing needs in critical and routine situations within the Emergency Department.
• Stay current with required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC (TNCC/ATCN/CEN preferred).

Qualifications:

• Active, unencumbered RN license
• Minimum of one year recent ER experience
• Proven competency across the age continuum-birth to geriatrics
• Completion of ED skills checklist by first scheduled shift
• Strong communication, assessment, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of rapid response, lifesaving protocols, and ED flow dynamics
