Quality Engineering Technician
We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineering Technician to perform complex inspections and testing of tooling, forged, and machined parts. This role supports the lead Quality Engineer by measuring equipment and customer parts, while ensuring product dimensions comply with specifications using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and gauges. The technician will validate and communicate manufacturing processes and product quality documentation to both customer and internal teams.
Responsibilities- Conduct complex inspections and testing of tooling, forged, and machined parts.
- Support the lead Quality Engineer with precise measurement of equipment and customer parts.
- Perform standard inspection tasks using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
- Ensure compliance with product dimension specifications.
- Validate and communicate manufacturing processes and product quality documentation to customers and internal teams.
- Inspection skills with at least 5 years of experience in manufacturing.
- 2 years of experience with an AA or BS degree.
- Experience working with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM).
- Knowledge of quality control, quality inspection, AS9100 standards, and quality assurance.
- Understanding of aerospace and manufacturing engineering processes.
Skills & Qualifications
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Moderate computer skills for data entry and report generation.
- Experience with machined parts, calipers, troubleshooting, forging, and quality engineering.
This position is based in a heavy industrial manufacturing plant that specializes in forging. The role requires working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with opportunities for upward mobility into Quality Engineering roles.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Fontana, CA.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
