HMI​/SCADA Integration Specialist

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced HMI/SCADA Integration Specialist to support industrial automation and control system projects within the water and wastewater industry.

This role is responsible for HMI development, SCADA integration, system commissioning, troubleshooting, and ongoing support of control systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with AVEVA/Wonderware InTouch and/or VTScada and be comfortable working independently on existing SCADA/HMI applications.

Remote in South Carolina

• Design, develop, configure, and modify HMI applications using AVEVA/Wonderware InTouch and/or VTScada
• Perform SCADA system integration, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Support commissioning and startup activities for industrial control systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing HMI and SCADA applications.
• Work with engineering teams to understand project requirements and implement appropriate solutions.
• Collaborate with customers, operators, engineers, and technical teams to identify and resolve system issues.
• Perform system testing, validation, and modifications as required.
• Document system changes, configurations, and troubleshooting activities.
• Support automation and controls projects within water and wastewater environments.

• Hands-on, production-level experience with AVEVA/Wonderware In Touch
• Experience developing and configuring HMI/SCADA systems
• Working knowledge of SCADA integration and industrial automation systems
• Experience with VTScada
• Experience troubleshooting and commissioning HMI/SCADA applications.
• Ability to work independently and effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with PLC programming
• Experience with Schneider Electric/Modicon PLCs
• Previous experience in the water/wastewater industry.
• Experience supporting municipal or industrial control systems.
• Familiarity with industrial automation, controls, and instrumentation.
