POSITION SUMMARY

Wow Bao is seeking a skilled and motivated Sanitation Supervisor for our new food manufacturing plant in Forest City, NC. The Sanitation Supervisor will report to the Quality Manager and is responsible for overseeing daily cleaning and sanitizing of equipment, production areas and facility grounds, including scheduling, monitoring workflows, conducting facility rounds, and troubleshooting issues to ensure efficient and safe production of high‑quality products.

This role requires leadership to manage production teams, maintain performance standards, and drive continuous improvement in a fast‑paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Sanitation Planning & Scheduling
  • Develop and manage daily sanitation schedules with the Quality Manager to meet timelines.
  • Allocate resources, including labor and equipment, to optimize workflow and achieve targets.
  • Adjust schedules as needed to address unexpected delays or changes in production priorities.
Sanitation Performance, Monitoring & Oversight
  • Supervise and perform cleaning and sanitizing tasks, ensuring adherence to USDA's Sanitation Performance Standards (9 CFR 416) and Wow Bao Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs).
  • Document sanitation activities and complete required logs, verifications, and checklists.
  • Communicate with Quality, Operations, and USDA to support compliance and corrective actions.
  • Conduct regular facility rounds to observe sanitation operations, identify bottlenecks, and ensure safety.
  • Monitor key indicators and take corrective actions to address deviations.
  • Monitor and enforce food quality standards, conducting regular inspections and audits.
  • Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), HACCP, and food safety regulations.
Immediate Troubleshooting & RCCA
  • Identify and resolve sanitation issues in collaboration with maintenance, operations, and quality teams.
  • Implement immediate corrective actions to minimize food safety risks.
  • Document incidents and contribute to Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) analysis.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Coach, mentor, and motivate production associates towards a culture of teamwork & improvement.
  • Ensure staff are trained on safety protocols, equipment operation, quality standards, and hygiene practices.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address employee concerns.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations, Assistant Plant Manager, Quality Manager and Maintenance Manager to resolve issues and implement corrective actions.
Continuous Improvement
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying sanitation enhancement opportunities.
  • Propose innovative ideas and develop actionable execution plans.
  • Collaborate with cross‐functional teams to implement and sustain initiatives.
