Winnebago County Conservation is seeking a Campground Host for the 2026 season at Thorpe Park near Forest City, Iowa. A free full-hookup campsite will be provided for the season as compensation for being the host at the campground along with a $350/month stipend. Duties of the Campground Host include verifying camper registrations, cleaning the two cabins at Thorpe Park, emptying fire rings, picking up litter and debris within the campground, and monitoring adherence to park rules.
The campground host is usually the first point of contact for the public, so this individual must be able to interact in a respectable manner.
The campground host must provide their own camper or camping unit, pass a background check, possess a valid driver's license, and be able to interact with the public in a positive manner.
