Overview
We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Support Technician to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Forest City, NC
.
Comprehensive knowledge troubleshooting, assembling, installing, testing, maintaining and making improvements to mechanical systems. Works with relevant functions to select and utilize appropriate resources, tools, machinery and specialty equipment. Thoroughly understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment. Acts as a formal resource coordinating others. Quickly and effectively adapts to change in the manufacturing environment.

- Supporting Maintenance: Your skills in troubleshooting and mechanical repairs will keep equipment running smoothly and efficiently.
- Optimizing Processes: Identifying and reducing manufacturing constraints will enhance productivity and streamline operations.
- Fostering Communication: Effective communication with your team and support teams will ensure smooth collaboration and problem-solving.
- Continuous Improvement: Engaging in training and participating in TPM teams will drive ongoing improvements in quality, safety, and processes.
- High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
- This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Significant work experience and in-depth knowledge obtained through specialized training and relevant experience.
Qualifications- Ability to work with Engineering drawings
- Mechanical & Electrical required (read & create as needed) - Hands on experience with Hoists & Load Lift Assists (LLAs) working in a Heavy Manufacturing shopfloor required
- Fully proficient in performing troubleshooting, mechanical repairs and maintenance of equipment to improve safety on the shopfloor
- Experience with Industrial safety standards (OSHA/ANSI, RIA, NFPA and ISO/EU) preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Word, Excel and PowerPoint a plus
