Forklift Operator (1st & 3rd Shift) – Kelly in Partnership with Cummins

Location: Forest City, NC

Pay Rate: $17.25–$18.25 per hour

Shifts Available:
1st Shift – 7:30 am – 6:00 pm and 3rd Shift – 8:30 pm – 5:30 am

Type: Full-Time, Contract-to-hire

Kelly, in partnership with Cummins in Forest City, NC, is seeking dependable and safety-conscious Forklift Operators for both 1st and 3rd shifts! Join a global leader and support shop-floor operations by ensuring components are shipped on time and helping to keep everything running smoothly.

• Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other powered industrial vehicles.
• Pick and stage customer orders accurately using an RF scanner.
• Unload incoming shipments and store products in the correct locations.
• Prepare, wrap, label, and load outbound shipments according to guidelines.
• Perform cycle counts and replenish stock as directed.
• Maintain clean and organized pallet staging areas.
• Assist with team lifts for items over 50 lbs and follow all safety protocols.
• Support general warehouse operations as needed.

• Certification or willingness to obtain certification for powered industrial equipment.
• Basic math and computer skills required; familiarity with Microsoft Office and WMS (Red Prairie) a plus, training provided.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and adapt quickly to changing demands.
• Physical ability to handle frequent lifting and other warehouse tasks.

• 1 year of experience required
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Must regularly operate powered industrial equipment, including:
  • Walkie rider
  • Forklift
  • Order picker
  • Reach truck
