FWS HBIO – Anatomy and Physiology – Teaching Assistant
Department Name, location of department: Kinesiology
Purpose of Position: Faculty Support
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Description: The student will be assisting faculty as they instruct and facilitate learning for students
enrolled in the Human Anatomy and Physiology Course (HBIO
230 and HBIO
231).
Plan: The student and course coordinator will meet weekly (1-2 hours) to prepare for lab. The student
will then assist in one lab period per week (3 hours) and assist with the grading of laboratory exams and
assignments. (5 hours per week x 13 week = 65 total hours)
Wage rate: $16.80/hr
QualificationsQualifications:
- Qualifies for federal work study funding for the 2026-27 academic year
- Able to manage and maintain sensitive and confidential information, ensuring it is handled securely and in compliance with FERPA regulations and Pacific University’s policies and procedures
- Possesses good oral and written communication skills, and excellent customer service skills including the ability to work with diverse populations of students, staff, faculty, and community members
