Job Duties and Responsibilities:
The student Public Health Program Assistant provides essential administrative, teaching, research, and community outreach support for the Public Health faculty and staff team on the Forest Grove campus. This position supports our public health program administrative, teaching, and research responsibilities.
The student Public Health Program Assistant is responsible for complying with appliable policies, procedures, and regulations (e.g., FERPA). The role requires multitasking, organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.

Wage
: $16.80/hr
Hours
:
Expected 3-5 hours per week. Not to exceed 20 hours per week.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Protects student confidentiality by complying with FERPA.
2. Supports various course instructors and students.
3. Assists with department event set up and clean up.
4. Assists with grading (e.g., quizzes).
5. Assists with faculty research projects.
6. Copying.
7. Proctoring exams
8. Other duties as assigned.
9. This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
QualificationsQualifications
- Second or third-year Pacific University public health student who qualifies for federal work study.
- Asks questions and seeks assistance
- Able to maintain sensitive and confidentiality information, ensuring it is handled securely and in compliance with FERPA regulations and Pacific University’s policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates ability to work in a team environment.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
- Possesses good oral and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated.
- Serves as an information source to students, staff, faculty, and community members.
