Job Description
The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the organization's human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices.

Responsibilities- Manage the employee acquisition process, including sourcing, testing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
- Conduct and analyze exit interviews, recommending changes as necessary.
- Ensure job descriptions are up-to-date, accurate, and compliant with federal, state, and local laws.
- Create and update compensation strategies through market analysis and pay surveys.
- Handle investigation and resolution of employee issues, concerns, and conflicts.
- Ensure all employment practices comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Train employees on company and government policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Maintain employee benefits programs and inform employees of benefits.
- Direct the processing of benefit claims and design educational programs on benefits.
- Maintain human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system.
- Process bi-weekly payroll for up to 100 employees using ADP.
- Administer all aspects of the company's payroll records.
- Enter garnishment requests in payroll system in a timely manner and respond to inquiries.
- Calculate and process employee 401(k) deferrals, ensuring timely funding.
- Prepare and file government reports such as EEO-1.
- Respond to all verifications of employment and third-party requests.
- Address employee/manager payroll requests and inquiries.
- Exercise judgment in dealing with potential or real payroll/HR issues and bring them to management's attention.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Labor Relations, or Business.
- 3-4 years of experience in human resources, with at least one year in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and ADP.
- Knowledge of hiring, human resources management, benefits administration, performance management, and compensation.
- Experience with creating a culture of engagement, collaboration, and teamwork.
- Capable of compiling and analyzing employment data for strategic planning.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
Skills & Qualifications
- Huge plus if bilingual in Spanish.
The work environment includes flexible start times between 6 am and 8 am, with a regular schedule such as 8 am to 4:30 pm and a 30-minute lunch. The company is small and family-oriented, with a supportive team and strong collaboration with the finance manager. While the position is independent, there is support available from several leadership members. The job may occasionally expose the employee to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions.
The noise level is usually quiet. Physical demands include sitting, using hands, talking, hearing, reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 25 pounds.
This is a Contract position based out of Forest Grove, OR.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00/hr.
