Position: Maintenance Mechanic | $35.00 / hour | LME Required

Maintenance Mechanic (LME Required)

Pay: $35.00 / hour

Shift: Full Time, Day Shift

Candidates must be flexible and willing to work swing shift, graveyard shift, and weekends as needed to provide coverage and support production demands.

Important Requirement:

An active Oregon Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) license is required to be considered for this position. Candidates who do not currently possess an LME license will not be eligible.

Position Overview:

As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations. This role requires a strong electrical aptitude, the ability to diagnose complex equipment issues, and a commitment to minimizing downtime through effective troubleshooting and preventative maintenance practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine and preventative maintenance on production equipment.
Diagnose equipment issues using machine error messages, test results, and operator feedback.
Troubleshoot and repair pneumatic, hydraulic, steam, and electrical systems.
Wire electric motors and electrical components.
Utilize HMI interfaces, voltmeters, and other testing equipment to identify and resolve malfunctions.
Minimize equipment downtime through timely repairs and preventative maintenance.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of work performed.
Follow GMP, HACCP, and company safety procedures.
Promote a safe, clean work environment while supporting food safety initiatives.

Qualifications:

Required

Active Oregon Limited Maintenance Electrician (LME) license
High school diploma or GED
Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills
Minimum of 2 years of industrial maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment
Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems
Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot equipment failures
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check

Preferred

Technical training or certifications beyond high school
Experience with in food manufacturing or processing environments
Familiarity with PLCs and Allen-Bradley / RSLogix systems
Experience with preventative maintenance
