- Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, with late evening and weekend hours as needed. During the academic program session (mid-September through mid-May), the schedule shifts to Monday
- Thursday, 9:00am - 6:00pm. Based on the program needs,overnight travel may occur.

This position is not eligible for remote work

This is a grant-funded position. Continued employment in this position is contingent uponthe renewal of grant funding or the position beinginstitutionalized at the conclusion of the grant.

Reporting to the Director of TRIO programs, the Coordinator ofTRIO, Upward Bound is responsible for coordinating all activities and services related to a specific Upward Bound grant program. This position provides educational and college preparatory services toassist high school students with completing their secondary education and enrollment into a post-secondary institution.

Essential Performance Requirements*

• Conducts academic needs assessments and develops student educational plans
• Coordinates special events, including college tours, field trips,educational and social issues workshops, and out-of-state trips
• Develops program and event publication
• Tracks academic progress of program participants
• Tracks program graduates as they progress through post-secondary education
• Engages in program recruitment
• Maintains accurate records for grant compliance
• Organizes annual, monthly, and weekly performance reports
• Hires, trains, and oversees on-call staff assisting in grant program delivery

Service Excellence

• Participates on behalf of the College in external community organizations and associations as assigned to support the Essential Performance Requirements*
• Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, and follows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of theworksite
• Completes all required training and professional development sessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
• Supports the mission, values, and goals and principles of the College

Supervision

• Works under the general supervision of the Director of TRIO Programs

* Performs Other Related Tasks as Required

• Bachelor's degree
• Three (3) years of experience working with students from various backgrounds specifically low-income or first-generation
• One (1) year’s working experience in program coordination and management

• Master's degree in education, counseling, higher education,student affairs, social work, public administration, or a closely related field
• At least one (1) year’s working experience with TRIO Upward Bound, Talent Search, or a comparable federally fundedpre-collegiate program
• At least one (1) year’s working experience advising college-readiness, or postsecondary transition services tolow-income and/or first-generation college students
