Lakes International Language Academy is seeking dedicated and passionate substitute teachers for both general education and special education to join our team!
Great Pay: $165 per day; $185 per day for Long-Term Substitutes (for assignments longer than 1 week)

- Shifts available from 7:15 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
- Work with students from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12.
- Shadowing with a licensed teacher.
- Training and ongoing support provided.

- A valid Minnesota teaching license or substitute teaching certification is required.
- We will guide you through this process.
- Obtain a substitute teaching license with ANY bachelor’s degree (doesn’t have to be in education).
- You only need to speak English—no Spanish or Chinese required!
Lakes International Language Academy (LILA) is a PreK-12 public charter school educating over 1200 students. The school opened in 2004, added grades 7 - 12 in 2015 and 2016. The school is located in Forest Lake, Minnesota, with authorization from the International Baccalaureate Organization to offer the PYP, MYP, and Diploma Programme. We offer Spanish and Mandarin language immersion in PreK - 5 and an immersion continuation program in grades 6 - 12, as well as entry points for non-immersion students in a language-rich environment.
Teachers are highly involved in developing curriculum and writing materials, as well as decision making at the school. In fact, the school's board of directors has a teacher majority. We enjoy high teacher retention, and frequently have a waiting list of students who want to enter our program.
