Qualifications:

• Valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching certification (must be provided with your application)
• Experience in elementary special education, with a preference for those skilled in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD), or Emotional Behavioral Disorders (EBD)
• Strong classroom management abilities and a commitment to fostering supportive, inclusive learning environments
• Proficient in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, staff, and related service providers

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct instruction and adaptive strategies for students with special needs (ASD, DCD, or EBD), aligned with each child's IEP goals
• Maintain a positive, structured classroom environment that encourages academic and social growth
• Assess student progress regularly, document outcomes, and participate in IEP meetings
• Partner with general education teachers and specialists to support student inclusion
• Communicate regularly with families about progress and classroom activities
• Work across mapped schools, Lino Lakes Elementary and Columbus Elementary, ensuring effective coverage across the district's diverse geography
