Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Minnesota Special Education Teaching Certification.
- Experience working with students on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) across multiple grade levels is highly desirable.
- Ability to quickly adapt teaching strategies to fit various classrooms and student needs.
- Comfortable covering both planned teacher absences and unanticipated call-outs.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and classroom management skills.
- Deliver instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in accordance with their IEPs.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment during the duration of coverage.
- Collaborate with on-site educators and support staff to ensure continuity of care and instruction.
- Accurately report on student activities, attendance, and any notable incidents during assignments.
- Be available for on-call assignments from Monday through Friday, as needed by the district.
- Flexibility to cover short-term assignments, whether scheduled in advance or same-day.
