Financial Analyst
Forest Lake / Columbus, Minnesota | On-Site| Full-Time
$85,000 - $100,000 per year (based on experience and skill set)
About UsJP Ecommerce has been named one of the top-ten fastest-growing businesses in Minnesota by Inc. 5000 for the past four years in a row. We provide customers with high-quality bedding through our brand Bare Home. As a $100M+ e-commerce textile company, we source premium products from China, India, Pakistan, and Turkey while also manufacturing cotton products in the USA.
We've grown from a small startup to a team of more than 90 employees, and we're continuing to expand as we scale our operations to support 30% year-over-year growth. Our collaborative, entrepreneurial culture means your analysis lands directly in front of the people making decisions - not three layers down from them.
Position OverviewWe're looking for a Financial Analyst to join our growing finance function - this is an addition to the team, not a backfill. There is more analytical work in this business than one person can carry: budgeting and forecasting support, margin and profitability analysis, cash flow modeling, and a steady stream of executive-level questions that deserve real answers with real numbers behind them.
You’ll work alongside our Senior Financial Planning Analyst and directly with executive leadership of a $100M+ company - building the analyses that drive pricing, purchasing, channel, and investment decisions. This is a hands-on role for an analyst with a few years of experience who wants exposure across an entire P&L, from marketplace fees and freight costs to inventory investment and headcount planning, in a company small enough that your work actually changes what happens next.
WhatYou'll Do Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Build and maintain recurring financial reporting on revenue, margin, and expense performance across sales channels and product categories
- Analyze profitability by SKU, category, and channel — including marketplace fees, freight, storage, and fulfillment costs — and surface what the numbers mean
- Support month-end close analysis in partnership with the Accounting team, investigating variances and explaining drivers
- Develop clear, decision-ready summaries and visuals for executive leadership
- Support the annual budgeting process and quarterly reforecasts — building department-level templates, consolidating inputs, and tracking actuals against plan
- Assist with cash flow forecasting and working capital analysis, including inventory investment and payment timing
- Maintain and improve financial models for scenario planning, pricing decisions, and capital purchases
- Field analytical requests from leadership and department heads — scoping the question, pulling the data, and delivering an answer that holds up
- Partner with our Business Intelligence team on shared data sources, dashboards, and reporting consistency
- Support Supply Chain, Marketplace, and Operations teams with cost analysis and financial input on operational decisions
- Help build the repeatable processes, templates, and documentation that let the finance function scale as we grow
- 2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, corporate finance, or accounting with significant analytical responsibility
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
- Advanced Excel skills — complex formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial model construction
- Solid understanding of financial statements and how revenue, margin, and cash flow connect
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to explain your numbers and defend your recommendations
- Clear written and verbal communication — comfortable presenting…
