Job Title:
Machine Operator Heavy
Pay Rate: $18.00/hr
Location:
Forest Lake, MN
Schedule:
1st Shift Monday-Friday 7:30AM-3:30PM
Position Type:

- High School diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- Valid identification and the ability to work legally in the United States.
- Previous production experience required.
- Ability to run a manual work center, maintain cycle, tend to multiple automatic work centers as assigned, and count/report production and scrap as required.
- Basic understanding of scales and other required measuring equipment; knowledge of a variety of injection molding presses; ability to read a print; successful completion of Paulson Molding Fundamentals 1 & 2.
- Perform daily tasks safely; work independently with limited supervision; understand how and when to react to changes in product quality.
- Physical requirements:
walking in office/shop areas; sitting, standing, turning head and torso, reaching, grasping, bending, flexing arms, legs, wrists, and fingers. - Must have correctable eyesight and good depth perception.
- Must be able to stand for long periods; walk, sit, occasionally climb and balance.
- Regularly required to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch to perform job duties.
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds and move objects safely using proper equipment.
- Must have dexterity with hands.
- Must prioritize multiple tasks and complete them within a timely manner; ability to make decisions with limited information.
- Responsible for production, documentation, and product quality.
- Report directly to the Shift Supervisor or Shift Lead and communicate effectively with all team personnel, Operations Manager and other departments.
- Work/collaborate with a team to produce products correctly the first time and on time.
- Follow documented processes and instructions to manufacture products to meet customer expectations.
- Make effective and accurate decisions about part acceptance while operating manual or automatic work centers.
- Accurately count product and label packaging accordingly.
- Document required information using good documentation practices on all company records.
- Inspect and document parts per the Inspection instructions.
- Provide continual input suggestions to team members to improve production and engineering development operations.
- Recognize, comprehend, and react to changes in part quality, work center and equipment controls; notify team members as issues or concerns arise.
- Conduct effective shift handoffs to incoming personnel, including communication about work center/product status, scrap levels, run challenges, and best practices.
- Follow company processes and procedures including medical clean rooms and controlled environments.
- Maintain a safe and clean work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- May be eligible for 5 paid holidays.
- May accrue up to 48 hours of paid sick time per year.
- 401(k) with company match after 1 year of employment.
- Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) Plan.
