Manufacturing / Process Engineer
We are seeking a Manufacturing / Process Engineer to join our growing team in Forest Lake, MN. This role will be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing manufacturing processes, improving productivity, and supporting operational excellence throughout the facility.
The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background with experience in manufacturing environments, heavy equipment, electrical systems, Lean Manufacturing principles, and data-driven decision making. Experience utilizing Power BI to analyze production metrics and support operational improvements is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze, develop, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance quality, productivity, safety, and cost efficiency.
- Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives, including Kaizen events, 5S activities, root cause analysis, and waste reduction projects.
- Identify process bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve throughput and overall equipment effectiveness.
- Support production teams with troubleshooting and resolution of manufacturing and process-related issues.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, work instructions, standard operating procedures, and engineering reports.
- Utilize Power BI and other reporting tools to create dashboards, track KPIs, and support data-driven decision making.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams to improve manufacturing performance.
- Support capital equipment projects, equipment upgrades, and new manufacturing process implementation.
- Conduct process capability studies, time studies, and workflow analysis.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of manufacturing and/or process engineering experience.
- Experience supporting production environments and driving process improvements.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement principles.
- Experience analyzing manufacturing data and performance metrics.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with heavy equipment, industrial machinery, or related manufacturing environments.
- Electrical engineering knowledge or experience supporting electrical manufacturing processes.
- Experience developing Power BI dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing software platforms.
