About the Role

Responsible for managing accounts payable functions, reconciling statements, handling cash requirements, auditing freight bills, maintaining vendor relationships, and supporting monthly closings. Required experience with Paycom. Must be detail-oriented, organized, and proficient in accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Check all vouchers and obtain appropriate payment approval.
  • Prepare accounts payable checks.
  • Post all open items in accounts payable daily.
  • Print all accounts payable reports and maintain files.
  • Reconcile statements and the ledger ensuring payments match dealership schedules.
  • Reconcile cash schedule.
  • Maintain petty cash system.
  • Communicate cash requirements for payable dates to the office manager.
  • Audit freight bills against freight inquiries.
  • Analyze vendor accounts.
  • Provide title clerk with information on all purchased vehicles for title list.
  • Answer all vendor inquiries.
  • Reconcile bank balances daily.
  • Reconcile time cards, prepare worksheets for the office manager, and post payroll weekly.
  • Post flat rate flag sheets weekly.
  • Assist in monthly closings.
  • Prepare analysis of accounts as required.
  • Assist with accounts receivable and special projects as necessary.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and a neat work area.
Qualifications
  • MUST have Paycom experience.
  • High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
  • Mathematical abilities: add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure; compute rate, ratio, percent; calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, volume; apply basic algebra and geometry.
  • Apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables where only limited standardization exists.
  • Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
