Verifying Official (VO)/ Operator, USARC DEERS/RAPIDS - (2385)
Yorktown Systems Group is seeking a highly qualified Verifying Official (VO)/ Operator to provide administrative support services to the US Army Reserve Command (USARC) G-1, necessary for processing identification issuance requests and issuing identification badges for building and system access to eligible recipients in support of the USARC Identification Card Office (ICO).
Responsibilities- Provide administrative support services and effectively staff the USID Card Office during hours of operation.
- Accountability, control, verification, and issuance of USIDs and CACs for active duty military, reserve and National Guard members, retirees, family members/dependents, and other eligible recipients.
- Process identification issuance requests and support the Government’s issuance of identification badges for building and system access in accordance with regulations and DoD policy directives.
- Operate the USARC’s USID Card Issuance Systems, verify information, and conduct all required background checks with 100% accuracy.
- Research and review source documents, verify eligibility, and discuss entitlements as defined in regulations and DoD policy directives and the RAPIDS Training Guide.
- Ensure all Contractor personnel staffing RAPIDS Workstations are certified as “VOs.”
- Protect privacy and confidentiality of data on the RAPIDS terminal screen.
- Verify identity of card recipients before entering data in RAPIDS.
- View and scan documents that establish badge eligibility before entering data into DEERS or issuing .
- Enter DoD Sponsor and family member information, issue DoD using RAPIDS workstations, suspend privileges, and update DEERS as necessary.
- Process and complete DEERS/RAPIDS input and updates accurately and in a timely manner.
- Operate DEERS RAPIDS equipment to update and maintain electronic and paper filing systems to support CAC statistics, hiring actions, and entry of additional CAC information and correspondence received.
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and one year of experience in a Customer Service environment, preferably in an HR-related position.
- Ability to perform various administrative tasks and exercise discretion.
- Proficient oral and written communication skills; working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and basic office equipment such as computers, copiers, fax machines, and scanners.
- Successful completion of RAPIDS certification IAW PWS 1.16.
An Active SECRET Security Clearance is required for all positions located at the USARC G-1 (Fort Bragg, NC); all other positions must pass a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Tier 1 investigation.
