Drafter

Job Title

Works directly and indirectly with other drafters, designers and operating company personnel to prepare specifications and drawings for the construction and maintenance departments.

Supports engineers and/or designers with design deliverables that support the installation, operation, and maintenance of high voltage transmission facilities (poles, towers, conductors, etc.).

Sound judgment is a must. Prepares critical detailed schematic drawings to visually communicate to line crews what work will be required on various project types.

As schedule permits, 5% of time in the field and 95% of time in the office.

Office work consists of communicating via email and phone with teammates, attending departmental meetings, performing calculations, and creating and reviewing plans/drawings.

Works forty hours per week with overtime as needed.
