Job Summary
Amentum is currently seeking an Information Technology Engineer based in Forest Park, GA. The position supports exploitation missions to both CONUS and OCONUS locations and requires full‑time commitment with travel and deployment as needed to support mission requirements.
Responsibilities- Perform necessary modifications to computer systems to ensure compliance with local and DoD configuration policies for software and hardware.
- Maintain certifications required to work on government systems.
- Track and resolve technical issues using ticketing systems, ensuring timely and efficient resolution.
- Provide technical support for establishment, testing, upgrade, and operational support of systems, networks, workstations, and support equipment hardware and software.
- Manage and support Active Directory environments, including user account creation, group policy management, permissions, and troubleshooting.
- Assist in system design, development, interim operations, maintenance, and IT architecture planning (including distributed computing, enterprise management, security, and network requirements).
- Coordinate with government representatives, contractors, and vendors for maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting of systems and subsystems.
- Provide oversight or perform installation, de‑installation, integration, and preventive/corrective maintenance of systems and subsystems.
- Obtain specialized training and technical certifications to support advanced or unique systems.
- Apply computer security disciplines to conduct information system security audits, risk management assessments, and ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
- Support information system accreditations, certifications, Command and Control Protect (C2P) policies, Continuity of Operations Plans (COOP), and installation/maintenance of system security products.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field with 4 years of relevant experience or 7 years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
- Current DoD 8140 Information Assurance Technology (IAT) LevelII certification (e.g., CCNA‑Security, CySA+, CND, or Security+CE).
- Experience installing, operating, and maintaining computer processors, displays, input/output devices, and associated hardware interfaces.
- Experience in configuration modifications to conform to local and DoD policies.
- Ability to obtain a DoD Top Secret security clearance; U.S. citizenship required to obtain clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. passport.
- Willingness to obtain specialized training and certifications as required for specific systems.
- Ability to travel CONUS and OCONUS (estimated 50% travel).
- Ability to complete and pass a medical assessment in accordance with customer requirements.
- Current DoD 8140 IAT LevelI certification in A+CE.
$80‑115k.
