Lead Inventory Associate

Car Max is seeking a Lead Inventory Associate to oversee vehicle inventory accuracy and flow on our lot. In this role, you'll coordinate vehicle check-in, tagging, staging, and movement using handheld devices and inventory systems. You'll lead by example, guiding associates, upholding safety and security standards, and supporting a clean, organized lot. You'll partner with sales and service teams to ensure vehicles are ready for customers, while maintaining detailed records, resolving discrepancies, and contributing to a transparent, customer focused experience that reflects Car Max's integrity-driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily vehicle inventory accuracy and lot organization
• Coordinate vehicle check-in, tagging, staging, and movement
• Use handheld scanners and systems to track inventory status
• Lead and support inventory associates during shifts
• Perform regular cycle counts and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain safety, security, and cleanliness standards on the lot
• Collaborate with sales and service teams to ensure vehicle readiness
• Document and report inventory issues or process improvements
