The Project Field Superintendent is the field execution leader responsible for delivering commercial roofing projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This is not a foreman role. This is not a paperwork coordinator role.
This is the on-site business owner for each project.
This position requires significant field presence, with approximately 75% of time spent traveling to and overseeing active job sites and approximately 25% spent in the office for planning, reporting, and coordination.
The Superintendent represents the company in the field, leads crews and subcontractors, protects margin, enforces production standards, and ensures customer satisfaction.

- Project Execution & Schedule Control
- Lead daily site operations.
- Coordinate subcontractors and vendors.
- Enforce project schedule.
- Run daily production planning meetings.
- Ensure material staging and logistics.
- Identify schedule risk early and communicate solutions.
- Financial & Production Control
- Monitor labor hours daily.
- Compare actual vs estimated production.
- Protect gross margin.
- Identify scope creep and change orders.
- Reduce overtime dependency.
- Track rework and root causes.
- Safety Leadership
- Enforce OSHA compliance.
- Conduct daily jobsite safety talks.
- Ensure fall protection compliance.
- Investigate and report incidents.
- Maintain zero lost-time incidents goal.
- Quality Control
- Inspect substrate conditions.
- Verify manufacturer compliance.
- Ensure system installation standards.
- Oversee warranty inspections.
- Minimize callbacks.
- Team Leadership & Development
- Lead foremen and crews.
- Conduct weekly performance check-ins.
- Develop next-level leaders.
- Drive accountability.
- Maintain high morale and discipline.
- 8–15 years commercial roofing
- Experience running $2M–$15M projects
- Strong knowledge of low-slope systems (TPO, PVC, Modified, EPDM)
- Strong GC coordination experience
- Experience with Procore preferred but not required
- Ability to read architectural drawings
- Data center and cold storage experience required
