Job Description

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment, machinery, and facility systems in a fast-paced logistics and manufacturing environment. This role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operations by performing preventive maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and following all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and material handling equipment (conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, forklifts, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to diagnose and repair equipment failures.
  • Respond to maintenance calls and production downtime issues in a timely manner.
  • Perform equipment repairs, replacements, and adjustments to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
  • Safely perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures during servicing and repair of equipment.
  • Conduct inspections of machinery and facilities to identify potential issues or safety hazards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and parts usage.
  • Support installation and commissioning of new equipment as needed.
  • Coordinate with production, operations, and safety teams to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and housekeeping standards.
  • Assist with general facility maintenance, including lighting, plumbing, and basic building repairs.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
  • 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics environment.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Working knowledge of electrical systems (motors, controls, sensors).
  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Proven understanding and hands‑on use of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Ability to read schematics, manuals, and technical drawings.
  • Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking systems (CMMS preferred).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PLC troubleshooting experience.
  • Welding or fabrication experience.
  • Forklift or equipment certifications.
  • OSHA safety training or certifications.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in industrial environments with noise, heat, and moving equipment.
Work Environment
  • Manufacturing and warehouse setting.
  • May require working overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed.
