The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment, machinery, and facility systems in a fast-paced logistics and manufacturing environment. This role ensures safe, reliable, and efficient operations by performing preventive maintenance, responding to breakdowns, and following all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and material handling equipment (conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, forklifts, etc.).
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to diagnose and repair equipment failures.
- Respond to maintenance calls and production downtime issues in a timely manner.
- Perform equipment repairs, replacements, and adjustments to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
- Safely perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures during servicing and repair of equipment.
- Conduct inspections of machinery and facilities to identify potential issues or safety hazards.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and parts usage.
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment as needed.
- Coordinate with production, operations, and safety teams to ensure smooth workflow.
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and housekeeping standards.
- Assist with general facility maintenance, including lighting, plumbing, and basic building repairs.
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred.
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, or logistics environment.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Working knowledge of electrical systems (motors, controls, sensors).
- Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Proven understanding and hands‑on use of Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Ability to read schematics, manuals, and technical drawings.
- Basic computer skills for maintenance tracking systems (CMMS preferred).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- PLC troubleshooting experience.
- Welding or fabrication experience.
- Forklift or equipment certifications.
- OSHA safety training or certifications.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in industrial environments with noise, heat, and moving equipment.
- Manufacturing and warehouse setting.
- May require working overtime, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed.
