Job Description Summary

Position:
Maintenance Mechanic

Location:

Forest Park, GA

Wage: $31.54/hour + $0.50 increase after 6 and 12 months.

Shift: 2nd shift 1:30pm - 10pm (some training required on 1st shift 5:30am - 2pm).

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Uses hand tools, power tools and precision measuring and testing instruments to repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer's specifications.
  • Ensures new machines are prepared for operation following protocols and procedures, and performs regular technical testing to ensure their safety and efficiency.
  • Collects data on machine operation and suggests actions to reduce machine downtime.

  • Performs work under general supervision.
  • Handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher level staff.
  • Possesses solid working knowledge of the subject matter.
  • Has accreditation from a technical school or an applicable skilled trades program and 2 to 4 years of experience.
