Seasonal Warehouse Worker

SUMMARY

Working under direct supervision, the Seasonal Warehouse Worker (based upon assigned area) provides:

• BRC: manual and clerical support in sorting, processing and verifying merchandise.
• Packer: manual and clerical support in supporting, processing and verifying merchandise.
• Order Filler: manual support in picking merchandise under engineered standards.
• Asset Protection: facilities safety and profitability by executing company programs and investigating any suspicious team member activities or behavior in the facility.

• Prepares merchandise for distribution, including checks, inspections, and logs data into the appropriate inventory systems to reflect the quantity and condition of merchandise received or distributed. Takes necessary steps to prepare merchandise for inventory and distribution.
• Inspect merchandise visually to determine disposition, as assigned. Enters and logs appropriate data into on‑line systems, as required.
• Moves merchandise from one location to another either manually or mechanically.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

• Picks "A" merchandise for distribution.
• Moves merchandise manually from one location to another.
• Processes returned merchandise by ticketing, bagging and binning.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

• Conducts surveillance and observes customers and contractors to detect activities or behavior that may be associated with theft, fraud, or impending violence.
• Supports shrinkage awareness programs by informing team members of current shrinkage issues and actions required.
• Accountable for record maintenance: maintains detailed, accurate reports for company and law‑enforcement use.
• Responds to emergencies: may handle bodily fluid clean‑up, render CPR or other first responder duties, and operate a fire extinguisher.
• Maintain facility truck entrance and tray traffic on gate during the assigned shift.
• Utilizes the CCTV system to identify threats related to theft, shrinkage and violence, team member and visitor safety, and operational compliance.
• Maintain all entry and exit points on the property during the shift.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

• No experience required; at least six months related experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; college degree from an accredited institution preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent years of work experience required; college degree from a related field preferred.
• At least six months of experience in Asset Protection or Auditing required; one year of experience preferred.

• Ability to understand and follow general and/or written instructions; uses elementary arithmetic.
• Familiarity with contemporary merchandise processing equipment (e.g., handheld scanners).
• Ability to learn computer processing systems.
• Ability to work efficiently.
• Ability to determine prescribed steps for processing problem cartons.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
