The work location: 3500 S Corporate Pkwy, Forest Park, GA 30297.

The working shift:
Sun‑Thurs 1‑9:30 pm.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring vehicles are maintained and safe for our customers.
  • Using Penske’s tools and technologies to log, research and complete repairs, including basic vehicle diagnostics.
  • Performing preventative maintenance repairs—such as replacing or rotating tires, component lubrication and replacement, electrical system repairs, and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engine vehicles.
  • Partnering with your manager to learn new skills using Penske’s technician training and hands‑on coaching.
  • Working on other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and 1‑2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience (preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • The ability to solve problems and comfort using tools.
  • Excellent customer service skills and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Understanding and compliance with Penske’s instructions, guidelines, rules, regulations, or other information established by Penske management.
  • Adherence to DOT, OSHA, and all Penske safety and maintenance policies, including proper tool/PPE use, machine guarding, and best safety practices.
  • Regular, predictable, full attendance.
  • Requires maintaining a current driver qualification file (annual MVR check, DOT physical, safety history records). CDL holders must complete a DOT drug screening within 30 days of start and be subject to an FMCSA Clearinghouse review.
  • Willingness to work the required schedule, location, complete application, background screening (criminal checks, past employment and education), pass a drug screen and physical, and possible travel within a near geography for training.
  • Regulated by the Department of Transportation or designated as safety sensitive; requires alertness and safe work practices.
  • Ability to accept responsibility for own safety and safety of others.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods.
  • Hands used daily to grasp, reach, touch, handle, feel, or operate tools or controls.
  • Must work safely at heights using applicable ladders and elevated working platforms.
  • Must work safely in all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to see and hear to safely navigate the work environment due to frequent movement of large trucks.
  • Must lift or move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) regularly and up to 100 lbs (45 kg) occasionally.
  • Must push/pull truck tires exceeding 100 lbs.
