Shop Helper​/Skilled Laborer

Position Summary

Cleveland Carter Enterprises, Inc. (CCE) is a 24/7 emergency sewer and water repair company seeking a dependable Shop Helper / Skilled Laborer in Forest Park, GA.

• Assist with basic equipment servicing and preventative maintenance activities.
• Support mechanics by greasing equipment, loading and unloading parts, and organizing tools and materials.
• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, shop areas, and yard spaces.
• Return tools, materials, and equipment to designated storage locations.
• Secure and lock shop and yard equipment at the end of each workday.

• Load and unload construction materials, equipment, and tools at project sites.
• Use hand and power tools to support construction and repair crews.
• Assist pipe fitters and field personnel with materials, tools, and operational support.
• Install silt fencing and perform basic landscaping or site restoration activities as needed.
• Assist with traffic control setup and monitoring.
• Provide additional labor to support field crews as assigned.

• Follow all safety policies and wear mandatory PPE.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Report equipment, tool, or job‑site concerns promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Follow safety procedures, job‑site requirements, and PPE standards.
• Arrive on time and follow through on responsibilities.
• Work cooperatively with supervisors, mechanics, operators, pipe crews, and teammates.
• Show willingness to learn, adapt, and assist.
• Take ownership of tasks and contribute to operational efficiency.

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, construction equipment, or general labor preferred.
• Must listen and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Construction or utility experience is a plus.

• Lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
• Stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor for extended periods.
• Work outdoors in variable weather conditions.
• Work around construction equipment and active job sites.
• Flexible for nights, weekends, or holidays as required.
• Basic communication skills; must work effectively as part of a team.
