• Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
• Perform preventative maintenance repairs—such as tire replacement/rotation, component lubrication and replacement, electrical and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engines.
• Partner with management to learn new skills through Penske’s training and hands‑on coaching.
• Assist with other projects and tasks assigned by a supervisor.

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Problem‑solving ability and comfort using tools.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Team‑player and self‑starter.
• Basic computer skills.
• Comply with DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance.
• Driver qualification file compliance per DOT (MVR, DOT physical, safety records, CDL drug screening as applicable).
• Willingness to work required schedule, location, and background screening, drug screen, physical, and potential travel for training.

• Move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods.
• Use hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle, and operate tools or controls regularly.
• Operate safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms.
• Work in all weather conditions.
• Navigate work environment with frequent large truck traffic; good visual and auditory perception.
• Regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg); push/pull truck tires exceeding 100 lbs.
