Main Responsibilities- Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
- Use Penske tools and technologies to log, research, and complete repairs, including basic diagnostics.
- Perform preventative maintenance repairs—such as tire replacement/rotation, component lubrication and replacement, electrical and cooling system maintenance on gas and diesel engines.
- Partner with management to learn new skills through Penske’s training and hands‑on coaching.
- Assist with other projects and tasks assigned by a supervisor.

Penske’s Technician Certification Program is a Continuing Automotive Service Education provider. - Advanced vehicle maintenance technology.
- Location and schedule flexibility.
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and 1–2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Problem‑solving ability and comfort using tools.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Team‑player and self‑starter.
- Basic computer skills.
- Comply with DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety and maintenance policies.
- Regular, predictable, full attendance.
- Driver qualification file compliance per DOT (MVR, DOT physical, safety records, CDL drug screening as applicable).
- Willingness to work required schedule, location, and background screening, drug screen, physical, and potential travel for training.
- Move frequently, stand, walk, climb, bend, and sit for extended periods.
- Use hands to grasp, reach, touch, handle, and operate tools or controls regularly.
- Operate safely at heights using ladders and elevated platforms.
- Work in all weather conditions.
- Navigate work environment with frequent large truck traffic; good visual and auditory perception.
- Regularly lift and move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg); push/pull truck tires exceeding 100 lbs.
