Preferable applicant will have experience in asphalt repair and concrete finishing. This is semi-skilled work in the operation of light construction and maintenance equipment, which also requires the exercise of manual labor.

• Operate a dump truck, backhoe, front-end loader, street sweeper, and any other job-related Public Works equipment.
• Operate a tractor, lawn mower and other field equipment.
• Drive a truck to and from work sites.
• May operate leaf vacuum truck.
• Handle asphalt, cement, gravel and other materials in storm drain and street repair work and use tools incidental to those repairs.
• Have knowledge of the operation and maintenance techniques of equipment.

Tasks require the ability to exert heavy physical effort, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-50) pounds; may occasionally involve heavier objects up to 100 pounds.

Performance of essential functions may require exposure to adverse environmental conditions.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Possession of a CDL class B GA Driver’s License.
• E.O.E.
