Discover a dynamic opportunity to make an impact as a School Psychologist supporting students from Pre-K through 8th grade. This contract position offers the chance to focus exclusively on essential evaluation services with a manageable average caseload, allowing for meaningful student interactions and professional growth.

In this role, youll be based at the district office, serving as a key member of the evaluation and intervention team. Your focus will remain on running domain meetings, conducting comprehensive evaluations, and overseeing the Early Intervention (EI) transition process including transdisciplinary play-based assessments (TPBA). You will also attend Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) referral meetings for individual students as needed, playing an important role in driving data-informed decisions for student success.

With no daily building-based responsibilities, your expertise can remain concentrated on program development and student assessment.

Qualifications:

  • Must hold (or be eligible for) an active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Psychologist endorsement; pending licensure will be considered for travel professionals.
  • Previous experience or strong interest in school-based psychological evaluations for students from Pre-K to 8th grade.
  • Confident facilitation of domain meetings and MTSS referrals.
  • Knowledge of or willingness to support EI transition processes and TPBA.
  • Ability to collaborate with district teams and communicate professionally with families and staff.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psycho educational evaluations.
  • Lead domain meetings to determine appropriate assessments and interventions.
  • Manage and oversee the transition process for Early Intervention students.
  • Participate in MTSS referral meetings for individual students when required.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with district, state, and federal requirements.

If youre seeking a rewarding contract role that values your expertise and offers a focused, evaluation-driven caseload, this position could be your perfect fit.

Compensation for this position ranges from $41.00 to $61.00. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals. Full details of our healthcare benefits plan can be found here. This posting is open for 60 days after the posting date.
